VB-4777 High Heat Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat
Description
VB-4777 is a High Heat Resistant Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat designed specifically for use on Amodel PPA, GTX, PC/ABS, PET, Aluminum, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Polyarylate, Polyester and Steel.

Among its attributes, VB-4777 delivers iridescent free performance under high stress conditions and exhibits excellent specularity and optical properties. In addition, this Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat offers outstanding adhesion, hardness, flow and surface wetting properties and cures to a clear, non-discoloring film.

VB-4777 is suggested for use on high intensity general purpose and Automotive lighting applications, with in-service operating temperatures from 230 - 500 degrees F.

Application
Method: Apply by Conventional or HVLP Spray.
Reduction
As supplied, this Metallizing Basecoat is offered at ready to spray viscosity. However, If necessary, reductions may be made with Acetone or Butyl Acetate solvents.
Cure Cycle
Flash off 15 minutes, followed by a 60 - 90 minute cure at a minimum part temperature of 230 degrees F., to as much as 500 degrees F., depending on substrate, film thickness at application and in-service temperature requirements.  For additional cure cycle recommendations, please contact Pearl Paints North America, Inc. directly.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign materials. Process ability of this product can be adversely affected by evaporation and contamination. 
Shelf Life
12 months, provided materials are kept in sealed original containers under specified conditions. Storage beyond this period can produce higher viscosities.
