Description
|
|
VB-4136 is a Fast Cure,
High Heat Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat
that is ideally suited for both Basecoat
and Topcoat applications. Among its
attributes, VB-4136 offers rapid curing
(under 15 minutes) and adheres equally
well to un-primed and untreated
Steel and Zinc Die Cast as well as high
heat resistant plastics like Valox and
Nylon.
In addition, VB-4136
offers relatively high build and superb
leveling characteristics, aiding in its ability to cover a
great majority of substrate surface imperfections, such as stress marks on
Metal. VB-4136 delivers outstanding
brilliance, gloss, flow, specularity,
humidity and salt spray resistance, and
offers very good flexibility as well as
mar resistance. VB-4136 remains clear,
water white after cure.

Cure Cycle
|

Flash off 10 minutes. Cure
to a part temperature of 280 degrees F.,
for a minimum of 12 minutes.

Special Notes
|
|
VB-4136 possesses excellent
cross hatch scotch tape adhesion, using 3M
brand 868 tape. Butyl Acetate and
Acetone are recommended solvents for
equipment cleaning and flushing of paint
lines.

Storage
|
 |
Store in tightly sealed
containers, at ambient temperatures.
Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign
materials. Process ability of this product
can be adversely affected by evaporation
and contamination.

Shelf Life
|

12 months, provided
materials are kept in sealed original
containers under specified conditions.
Storage beyond this period can produce
higher viscosities.
