VB-4136 High Heat Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat
Description
VB-4136 is a Fast Cure, High Heat Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat that is ideally suited for both Basecoat and Topcoat applications. Among its attributes, VB-4136 offers rapid curing (under 15 minutes) and adheres equally well to un-primed and untreated  Steel and Zinc Die Cast as well as high heat resistant plastics like Valox and Nylon. 

In addition, VB-4136 offers relatively high build and superb leveling characteristics, aiding in its ability to cover a great majority of substrate surface imperfections, such as stress marks on Metal. VB-4136 delivers outstanding brilliance, gloss, flow, specularity, humidity and salt spray resistance, and offers very good flexibility as well as mar resistance. VB-4136 remains clear, water white after cure.

Reduction
Due to its relatively low viscosity, this product should be applied as is, without reduction.
Application
Method: Apply by conventional and HVLP Spray.
Cure Cycle
Flash off 10 minutes. Cure to a part temperature of 280 degrees F., for a minimum of 12 minutes.
Special Notes
VB-4136 possesses excellent cross hatch scotch tape adhesion, using 3M brand 868  tape. Butyl Acetate and Acetone are recommended solvents for equipment cleaning and flushing of paint lines.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign materials. Process ability of this product can be adversely affected by evaporation and contamination. 
Shelf Life
12 months, provided materials are kept in sealed original containers under specified conditions. Storage beyond this period can produce higher viscosities.
