VB-2021-MD Vacuum Metallizing Basecoat
Description
VB-2021-MD is an industry recognized standard for Interior surface Automotive and general purpose Metallizing applications, including Automotive forward lighting and  tail lamp assemblies, as well as trim, air vents, air conditioning louvers and dome light assemblies.

Among its attributes, VB-2021-MD adheres to Polypropylene and Polyethylene with out the need for surface flame treatment or the use of primers. In addition, VB-2021-MD delivers high build, outstanding brilliance and insures a finished article with excellent appearance and optical properties.

VB-2021-MD can also be used on Noryl, Nylon, TPO, Polycarbonate and some metals. Not intended for use on ABS and Polystyrene.

Reduction
Due to its relatively low viscosity, this product should be applied as is. However, if desired, reduction may be made as required with either VM&P Naptha, Mineral spirits, Heptane or Toluene.
Application
Method: Apply by conventional and HVLP Spray.
Cure Cycle
Flash off 15 to 30 minutes, followed by a 60 to 120 minute cure at 160 - 260 degrees F. depending on substrate, film thickness at application and in-service temperature requirements.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign materials. Process ability of this product can be adversely affected by evaporation and contamination. 
Shelf Life
12 months, provided materials are kept in sealed original containers under specified conditions. Storage beyond this period can produce higher viscosities.
