APPLICATION INFORMATION FOR:

USAGE
MIX:
Mix SPW-970 color coatings thoroughly before use. Mild settling may occur if unused for prolonged periods of time.
REDUCTION: If necessary, reduce by weight or volume at the rate of 95% paint to 5% water. If further reductions are required, reduce with water in increments of 5%. Maximum reduction should not exceed 20%.
APPLICATION METHOD: Apply by HVLP and Conventional Spray
DRY TIME
SPW-970 DURA Cure Color Coatings become tacky to the touch when air dried, within 30 minutes and may be handled within 60 minutes of application. Complete cure will be achieved after all water has evaporated from the coating film. Coating dry times may vary, however DURA Cure Water Base Colors normally dry with 30 minutes of cure at 180 degrees F.
PROPERTIES
INITIAL ADHESION:
100% adhesion on ABS, Acrylic, Polycarbonate, PPO, Valox, Nylon and Polystyrene Plastics.
ADHESION AFTER 72 HOURS: 100% adhesion at the cross hatch.
WATER EMERSION: No evidence of whitening of the coating or blistering of the coating surface after 240 hours water emersion and 5 minutes recovery. Testing performed at 104 degrees F.
PENCIL HARDNESS: 2H.
STORAGE
Store in tightly sealed containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect from moisture and foreign materials. Process ability of this product can be adversely affected by contamination.
SHELL LIFE
6 months from the original date of manufacture.
