Application

Mix:
|
Mix
thoroughly before use. Mild settling
may occur if unused for prolonged periods
of time.
Agitating
and circulating systems are suggested for
use with Pearl Paints Wood Stain products.
|
|
Wipe and brush methods:
|
Apply liberally with soft
cloth or brush.
|
|
Spray method:
|
Reduce WC Stains as needed with
TH-56 Thinner.
|
|
|
Reduce WCW Stains as needed
with water.
|
|
Wipe off:
|
For light color transfer,
wipe off stain within 1 minute. For
moderate to darkest color transfer, allow
stain to set for 2 - 3 minutes prior to
wipe off.

Dry Time
|
|
|
|
WC Wood Stains
|
Become tacky to the touch
within 5 - 10 minutes and may be handled
within 30 minutes of application. Complete
cure will be achieved after all solvents
have evaporated from the coating film.
Coating dry times may vary, however WC
Wood Stains normally dry within 1
hour of application at 77 degrees F., and
within 30 minutes, when cured at 140
degrees F.

WCW-Wood Stains
|
Become tacky to the touch
within 15 minutes and may be handled
within 30 minutes of application. Complete
Cure will be achieved after all solvents
and water have evaporated from the coating
film. While your dry times may vary depending
upon humidity conditions and temperature,
WCW Wood Stains typically dry within 90
minutes at 77 degrees F., and within 30
minutes, when cured at 140 degrees F.

Re-coat
|
|
To achieve desired color
intensity, re-coat substrate as needed. For best
results, allow stains to dry a minimum of
30 minutes between coats.

Sanding Sealer
|
 |
Sanding sealers may be
applied to the final coat of stain within
1 hour of application. See sanding sealers
for additional information regarding
application information.

|
 |
Storage
|
|
Store in tightly sealed
containers, at ambient temperatures. Keep
from freezing. Repeated freezing and
thawing may greatly affect
viscosity and usability. Protect
from moisture and foreign materials.
Process ability can be
adversely affected by contamination.

Shelf Life
|
|
WC Wood Stains

months, provided materials are kept in
sealed original containers under specified
conditions. Storage beyond this period can
produce higher viscosities.

WCW Wood Stains
|

months, provided materials are kept in
sealed original containers under specified
conditions. Storage beyond this period can
produce higher viscosities and greatly
affect product usability.
