Description
|
|
VTW-4629 is a Water
Reducible Semi-Gloss Aqueous
VM Topcoat, that has been specifically
developed for Chemically Resistant
Cosmetics applications. Among
its attributes, this Metallizing Topcoat
exhibits excellent hardness, mar
resistance, outstanding moisture and water
soak.
In addition, VTW-4629
offers relatively short cure cycle
requirements, as well as outstanding
adhesion to ABS,
Acrylic, Nylon, Polycarbonate, flame
treated or primed Polypropylene, as well as most
Metals and Metallized Metal-films.

Application
|

Reduction:
|
Apply as is, or reduce 4:1 with water. For
improved set
up times, reduce 4:1 with Acetone.

Method:
|
Apply by conventional
and
HVLP Spray.

Cure Cycle
|
|
Flash off 15 minutes,
followed by 90 minute cure at a minimum
part temperature of 185 degrees F. (or)
Flash off 15 minutes. Cure 60 minutes at a
minimum part temperature of 230 degrees
F., or above.

|
|
Storage
|
|
Store in tightly sealed
containers, at ambient temperatures.
Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign
materials. Process ability of this product
can be adversely affected by evaporation
and contamination.

|
Shelf Life
|
|
3 months, provided
materials are kept in sealed original
containers under specified conditions.
Storage beyond this period can produce
higher viscosities.
