Reduction
Apply as is. Do not reduce.
Application
Method: Apply by conventional and HVLP Spray.
Coating Properties
Water Soak: No evidence of blistering, whitening of the coating surface or loss of adhesion after  240 hours emersion at 104 degrees F., and 5 minutes recovery.
Acid Resistance: No evidence of blistering, whitening of the coating surface or loss of adhesion after 24 hours emersion in a 1% hydrochloric Acid solution at 77 degrees F., and 5 minutes recovery.
Humidity: No evidence of cracking of the coating surface, shrinkage or whitening of the coating surface after 240 hours at 98% relative humidity at 38 degrees C.
Fadeometer/QUV: No evidence of blistering or whitening of the coating surface after 1000 hours QUV.
Thermal Stability: No evidence of blistering, cracking or yellowing of the coating surface. No evidence of adhesion loss. Testing completed after 240 hour at  155 degrees C.
Salt Fog: No evidence of coating deterioration, cracking of the surface, or whitening of the coating surface after 100 hours.
Cure Cycle
Flash off 15 minutes. Cure 60 minutes at a minimum part temperature of 150 degrees F.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign materials. Process ability of this product can be adversely affected by evaporation and contamination.
Pot Life
VT-4866 offers an approximate pot life of 12 hours when catalyzed with SX-122. Pot life may be reduced by as much as 75% when used in conjunction with SX-167 Cure Accelerator.
Shelf Life
12 months, provided materials are kept in sealed original containers under specified conditions. Storage beyond this period can produce higher viscosities.
Availability
VT-4866 is available in 5 and 55 gallon epoxy phenolic lined steel containers. Please contact Pearl Paints for ordering information.
