Usage

Mix:
|
Mix
SP-967 2K color coatings
thoroughly before use. Mild settling
may occur if unused for prolonged periods
of time.
|

|
|
Catalyze:
|
Catalyze at the rate of 7
parts Coating to 1 part SX-122 Catalyst.
|
|
Reduction:
|
Reduce 1:1 with TH-552 Reducer
Blend for 2K Paints.
|
|
Maximizing Cure:
|
To increase the rate of
cure, use in conjunction with SX-167 2K
Accelerator. Add at the rate of 1 to
as many as 2 ounces of SX-167 to
each gallon of ready to use paint.

Application Method:
|
Apply by HVLP and
Conventional Spray
|

Dry Time
|
|
|
|
Flash off solvents for 15
minutes at ambient temperature. Force dry
to a part temperature of 150
degrees F. for a period of 30 minutes, or air dry as per your
schedule. Heat
loss, high humidity, and other factors may
affect the cure time requirements of SP-967 2K Color
Coatings.

Properties

Initial Adhesion:
|
100% adhesion at the cross
on ABS, Acrylic, Aluminum, Nylon,
Polycarbonate, PPO,
Steel,
Polystyrene and Valox Plastics.
|
|
|
|
Adhesion after 72 hrs:
|
100% adhesion at the cross
hatch.
|
|
Water emersion:
|
No evidence of whitening of the coating
or blistering of the coating surface after
24 hours water emersion and 5 minutes
recovery. Testing performed at 104 degrees F.
|
|
|
|
Pencil Hardness:
|
< 7H on Aluminum and
Steel.
|
|
|
 |
Storage
|
|
Store in tightly sealed
containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect
from moisture and foreign materials.
Process ability of this product can be
adversely affected by contamination.

|
